About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To provide a safe and enjoyable stay for first time visitors. My hope is for
all visitors to return to their homes with wonderful memories of what Detroit and it's suburbs have to offer.
ABOUT ME
I currently do volunteer work for Detroit Metro Airport Authority. I'm retired from law enforcement and the airline industry. My son who is a graduate student, still resides with me when he is not traveling for work. My daughter is married with family and lives nearby. I was raised and educated in Dearborn, so am very familiar with the surrounding areas and what Detroit has to offer. My most favorite thing to do is travel, and my second favorite thing to do is entertain at home with friends and family. I come from a large family and we equally like to share, live and laugh! :D
PHILOSOPHY
Be kind, be thankful and share a laugh.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Though I've only 'Couch-surfed' once, I've had the enjoyment of hosting numerous people from around the world and the US. I hope that each and everyone that I hosted, and future guests, leave with a bigger smile than what they came with. ;)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Since my first introduction to Couchsurfing in 2007, I've met interesting, funny, intellectuals from around the world. I've expanded my knowledge of cultures and shared thoughts and experiences that no 'travel agency' could ever provide!
Interests
Love spectator sports (baseball, hockey, basketball, football). Swimming, skiing, bicycling, walking. And of course traveling. In my down time I love to read sci-fi novels and anything relating to history. Love history! I also love driving in the country and looking for antiques.

Music, Movies, and Books
Love classical music, but love to dance to salsa. Adventure and suspense movies are the best. Autobiography's and history books.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Spent 30 days traveling throughout Mexico on a BMW motorcycle.
Teach, Learn, Share
I teach my grandsons to always have manners; I'm never too old to learn new things; I share what I have, with those who have nothing to share.
What I Can Share with Hosts
My home, a drink, some laughs and good conversation. :)
