ABOUT ME

I grew up in the beautiful, humble state of Idaho in the NW of the USA. I grew up with a strong appreciation of the outdoors and with the benefit of being exposed to this big, crazy world. From a young age, I gained a keen appreciation for traveling and exploring, and it's stuck ever since. Throughout college, I had no idea what I wanted to do or become, and I still don't. I'm living my life by faith, or trying to that is, and walking through doors as they open. I work for the University of Idaho where I have an exciting job that allows me to connect with students from all over the world. I work in International Marketing & Recruitment and couldn't imagine having any other job at this time in my life. I don't know what tomorrow will bring, but I'm excited and not really worried about it.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

It's amazing to see how CS has grown so much over the years and how it's infiltrating every corner of the globe. I'd like to be more active locally in my community here on the Palouse, but often times work gets the best of me. A major joy of my job however, is that I get to travel and sometimes have the opportunity to connect with other CSers around the globe!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I was involved with CS a bit throughout the latter part of my university days and while living in Japan I surfed a bit and got involved with a lot of local CS events and activities. While traveling through the Middle East I met some awesome CSers and crashed a few couches along the way.

Interests

Besides traveling, I'm really into a lot of outdoor activities, such as hiking, biking, camping, fishing, etc, and I also enjoy basketball, tennis, and golf. I love adventures and getting lost somewhere new. I'm also into photography somewhat, but who isn't these days. I enjoy writing, or scribbling down words from time to time.

Music, Movies, and Books

Some of my favorite movies are the Counte of Monte Cristo, Bourne Identity, Forrest Gump, Lost in Translation, The Patriot, Amelie, Braveheart, Blades of Glory, Up, About a Boy...

In terms of music, I generally prefer the genres of techno/dance, electronic, trance, alternative, classical, and old French classics...

Floating in the Dead Sea

Taking a mountain flight through the Himalayas and seeing Mt. Everest

Walking through the streets of Jerusalem and contemplating Jesus's life and where he lived

Walking upon the Great Wall of China

Sailing through the majestic rock formations of Ha Long Bay Vietnam

Feasting on a freshly slaughtered lamb in a caravan in the middle of the Saudi Arabian peninsula, rolling down giant sand dunes, riding camels, and drinking fresh camel milk
