About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Empower , Mobilize and Serve Our Local Community!!

ABOUT ME

human Supporters Association (HSA) defines itself as a grassroots organization. It offers the youth of Nablus and its surroundings a non-violent, proactive alternative in dealing with the given political realities, and is a gathering point for activists promoting justice and social change within Palestinian society .

PHILOSOPHY

When children throw stones they are not committing a political violent action, on the contrary, they are trying to take an active role and express their feelings by sending a message to the occupiers - the Israeli soldiers, this is the way they choose to show us their needs. While considering this, we manage to respond actively to their needs, helping them go through a healthy process in dealing with their traumatic context whilst avoiding the risk taken by throwing stones and enabling them to focus on their life and future. To do this we try to create a more active role for themselves in their own life, helping them to understand and analyze the context in which they are living and by including them in the strategizing for the future, we enable them to develop an important coping mechanism; "the confrontation"; confronting the fear and trauma.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- HSA regularly organizes performances and parties for and with children and teenagers: musical concerts, clowns, birthday parties etc.

- exhibitions like ( 365 days in Nablus ), this is an exhibition for the happy moments, the sad ones, culture, traditions, occupation, etc. Over the duration of one year the animators of Human Supporters capture the life of Nablus and choose their way of expressing this through a number of different mediums. Last years exhibition was presented during November and December 2008 in Spain, France, Belgium, Switzerland, and Holland.

Teach, Learn, Share

We could teach our visitors the real culture of the Palestinian .. we could also teach them alot about the positive things in our lives more than the negatives which are filling the air ..

we could absolutely learn from others their own culture which we may not knew before .. learn alot of new things they could possibly bring with them .

We could share every single movement ,and every single information which could be very helpful enough to change the negative points about Our Place .
