Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Being the best father to my child that I can be, and being her faithful student. Unceasingly seeking my most useful role in the unfolding of history toward peace and mutual recognition.
ABOUT ME
I love good food. I love to play music with people, especially spontaneous and improvisational music. I have high ethics respecting all life. I'm good at math and other forms of dsciplined reasoning. I love to learn about the lifeforms all around me wherever I happen to be. I see miracles everywhere.
I'm seeking community in this world where souls have been cleft apart by fear and ignorance. I value understanding and knowledge of all forms, but demand that it be used in the defense of the dignity and health of living things.
PHILOSOPHY
Keep an open mind, stand behind your ethics but be ready to alter them if reason demands. Be sincere. Recognize that your needs do not differ substantially from those of all other human beings-- food, shelter, community, love, health-- and be humbled. Never fear. These are the immediate demands of being alive from moment to moment. Everything else is secondary.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I will soon offer a place to stay and would love to share not only shelter but also knowledge, ideas, music, good times, and good food as I travel.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Couchsurfed a few times in Ventura and San Luis Obispo CA, and Eugene, OR on my bicycle ride up the west coast. Good times were had in all cases. I would've had more cause to use CS if the folks I stayed with didn't so kindly network me with their friends in other cities further up the coast. Couchsurfing is great!
Interests
Music, math, ecology, economics, gender. The promises and perils of being a social individual with the capacity for symbolic thought, communication, foresight, and assignment of value, and the resultant phenomenon and quandary of ethical consciousness which emerges from the interaction of these capacities.
