Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I was born into a family of generous hosts to the couch surfing community. My mother was inviting people in to our house and her gallery for the night or the week before the term "Couch Surfing" was ever invented. Having traveled for 10 years to most corners of the planet I can say one thing...Americans are the stingiest people in the universe. We all need to band together and change this reality to a generous, warm, welcoming culture. Couch surfing is the first step!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Denmark, Sweden, Germany 1980. Pisa Italy, Czecheslovakia, Yugoslavia 1981, NYC 1982, A tall ship in MA, Key West, FL 1984, India, Korea and Taiwan 1985, China & Germany 1986, Los Angeles 1987, Visitor from Denmark 1983 stayed with me and my mom for over 4 months (we lived in seperate states) Denmark 1984, Burning Man area on and off for 5 years, all over the pacific northwest from 1995 to 2002. I even met my husband couch surfing! Marrakesh, Morocco 2000. I've stayed on a lot of couches - I can't remember them all. I'll ad more when I have more time.

Wish I had time to read. Trying to squeeze in Botany right now and The Fruit Gardener newsletter. I have so many interests - I have books everywhere.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I gave birth to my son at home in my own bed with my husband on my right side and my best friend on my left side and NO DRUGS. (at the age of 43) Creating a child is an AMAZING thing! Raising one perfect is sure hard to do.

Wise Woman once told me: "you don't have to be smart, you just have to remember everthing and people will think you are smart"

Would you like to learn how to re key a lock? or Graft a tree? My specialty is Airlayer Cloning - it's a gardening thing. I am the modern renassaince person - who can't spell but can to everything else.
