About Me
Born and raised in MA, I fled to southern Switzerland for college. I took advantage of my time there to travel extensively (from Amsterdam and Berlin to Santorini and Istanbul, from Morocco and Malawi to Thailand and the Philippines, to name a few...). I returned with my BA in communications and political science and a serious case of wanderlust!
Thrust into the "real world" not quite ready to settle into a routine, my college roommate and I did the only thing that seemed to make sense at the time, we joined a traveling carnival out of Kansas City! After a ridiculous season of exploring middle America, I moved to the marvelous city of Chicago and the following spring welcomed my daughter into the world. Just after her first birthday, the two of us moved back to Massachusetts where we continue to navigate this ever-exciting world!
I'm the operations manager for an awesome little non-profit working to empower low-income women through financial literacy. When I'm not there, most of my adventuring these days is in the company of an eager sidekick, my seven-year-old daughter and three awesome step-sons (7,9,13). Seeing the world through their eyes is completely refreshing (although at times admittedly exhausting!)... I hope to instill in them my love of travel, but these days it's mostly local adventures for us...
And that's where you come in! Come share your stories and enjoy tasty treats! Bring your world to our little corner of Massachusetts! :)
