ABOUT ME

We love exploring new places and cultures. We love looking at architecture, and we're firm believers in the idea that to truly experience a new place you should do what the locals do. We love going to different places and eating different culture's food.At the moment we are travelling the world and seeing what is out there. There is more possibility out there than one might expect, and this is what our current travels are all about. We hope to reconnect with our family and our old friends, and we hope to meet wonderful new people and help make the world a better place (yeah, kinda cheesy, but that's basically what we hope :)

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Alex has hosted a couple people and been hosted a few times, and he knows that there are many good experiences that will come via couchsurfing.Sarah is relatively new to couchsurfing. She has had a good experience at a CS event in Sydney and hopes to expand on it with new CS experiences in Singapore and India.

Music - Tell me what you like, and we'll tell you what we like. We're always looking to explore new music and are very interested to discover what other people like.Literature - Alex was once an English major, and he still loves discovering new poets and authors. Currently, my favorite author is Haruki Murakami. Since he now has a lot of time to read, he is catching up on all the old classics that he should've read at Uni :)Photography - We love taking pictures. We are still developing our technical skills, but one day we will be making professional quality prints that will hang in Art Galleries and houses around the world. In the past year we have started doing portraits and location shoots, which have been a lot of fun. We specialize in candid, natural poses. It is very satisfying showing people how beautiful they are just being themselves.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Alex spent a night at a Buddhist temple on Mt. Koya with some friends. It was a profound experiences that cannot be described with words. Perhaps the phrase "starry reminder awakening" might describe it. It was the most peaceful atmosphere that he has experienced thus far.. If you have a chance to visit, you should go.

We can teach you how to cook random dishes: cheese omelette, chicken adobo, chicken tinola, sinigang, bbq rib marinade, tofu, tamarind curry, chicken/tuna bake, and meat pies :)We can teach you the poetry game Exquisite Corpse. Alex can teach you basic Japanese phrases.
