About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to spend most of our time mapping old and forgotten pilgrim routes and then recover from the experience

ABOUT ME

Background varied - TV researcher at the outset and most recently Management Consultant with an oil company, but that's all past so irrelevant. Now I live with Paul and a lot of animals. We have ridden to Santiago de Compostela and Rome on our horses and want to map other, less well known routes so that people who are less masochistic than ourselves can follow them too.

PHILOSOPHY

That everyone should take the opportunity to step out and review their lives - pilgrimages are one way of doing this. We did it and gave up the day job!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Paul and I have various skills, organisational, writing, languages and geeky, but this is early days so we are not too sure where we will be most useful, but we can offer couches.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Unofficial couch surfing - lots of it. Turn up in a town with two horses and a riding dog and you quickly find yourself the centre of attention. We have had the best contacts this way and will never change our approach. We learnt to ask for help - not easy - and were always surprised by how many people gave it. Definitely the best way to make real friends.
