About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To breathe it all in- and try not to break myself in the process
ABOUT ME
I work at an architecture firm right across the harbor from my house and commute daily by free water taxi (which is pretty awesome). Constantly seeking adventure, I'm taking in Baltimore from my roofdeck and by the water. I keep in touch with nearly everyone I've ever met because I've learned geography isn't a good excuse for losing a friend. I live with two roommates in an incredible rowhome on the eastern side of Canton. Its fairly quiet, away from total craziness, and proximate to lots of green space and some transit options.
PHILOSOPHY
If you can't do anything about it- you can't worry about it. Breathing can get you through nearly everything, and when you're frustrated and angry do two things- go buy ice cream, and talk to a stranger. Having to force a smile to ask politely for directions works wonders. And ice cream therapy is an internationally proven solution to anything. Its science.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I host when I can and if my day is busy I have no reservations in throwing a surfer my bike and a few maps to keep them busy before I can catch up with them in the evenings. In Carolina I was pretty involved in weekly potlucks- hosting and attending- that regional community is unbelievably awesome there, and I miss them.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Couchsurfing makes me remember how easy it is to open up and relate to a complete stranger. Years ago I landed myself on a couch in Colorado, sharing a room with a guy from Bellevue. Knowing only each others names, we were up hours into the night laughing hysterically like little kids. Our host had to tell us to keep it down. The next morning he gave me a Vonnegut book. I hated it - but it still sits on my bookshelf with my other favorites.
Interests
Anything that makes me laugh, take a minute to breathe, gives me a good cry, teaches me something, or is nonsensical. But most things just make me smile. Its easier to write about things I hate. Beets, the feeling of wet plastic bags, and video games. Its too pretty outside to play them. I am afraid of swings and also have an aversion in choosing where to sit. I won't do it. I'm unclear why.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music Music Music. Anything music. The boys I lived with in argentina used to play the guitar and sing in the evening. The sound would waft up through the stairwell and would put me to bed. I think music is better listened to with your eyes closed.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've got lots of stories, dont' be afraid to ask for one. Just narrow it down by country.
