About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Freelance animation between trips around the world.

ABOUT ME

I'm a freelance animator, originally from Texas. Currently, I work long hours. Sometimes I work no hours. Such is freelance.

If you don't know any animators, that means I'm pretty nerdy and into videogames and movies, but I'm also usually up for going out and exploring.

I've been living in LA for about a year and a half. I'm generally reserved and independent, but I try to branch out and not stay too comfortable. Hitchhiking and couchsurfing are the best ways to do this, I think.

PHILOSOPHY

Everybody poops.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies - anything animated, especially Pixar and Miyazaki films. In Bruges, Into the Wild, Seven Samurai and other Kurosawa films, Blade Runner, Pan's Labyrinth... i dunno, too many. good cinematography and foreign films are always a safe bet.

Music - miles davis, charlie parker, billie holiday, bob dylan, david bowie, queen, beirut, neutral milk hotel, sufjan stevens, etc. mostly indie and jazz.

Books - nerdy escapism, terry prachett, vonnegut, kerouac. i dont read enough!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Volunteered at a sea turtle rescue in Mexico! Magical.

Teach, Learn, Share

I used to teach swimming! I'd love to teach you to draw or get you into animation if you already draw.

I want to learn so many languages! and teach me to cook!

What I Can Share with Hosts

A Texan/Californian perspective. Let's just not talk about Trump.

Countries I’ve Visited
