ABOUT ME

I am a New Orleanian, born and raised, though i don't know whether or not that is a good thing. Mostly i think it simply contributes to my tendency to drink and join groups of wandering crowds, especially if they're dressed up.

I'm a bartender by trade, so i'm pretty sure i'm in the right city.

I like bike rides in the Fall.

I have a particularly pervasive, perhaps perverse, penchant for puns. Also, i always allot a lot of love for alliterative acuity.

I spend a lot of time drinking coffee, doing crossword puzzles, and trying to decide whether to read a book or play a video game. Lately, the games have been winning, though i'm secretly pulling for literature.

I write (terribly) and i play the guitar (terribly). i really enjoy eating.

PHILOSOPHY

"...I made some interesting friends, had enough money to get around, and learned a lot about the world that i never could have learned in any other way.
Like most of the others, i was a seeker, a mover, a malcontent, and at times a stupid hellraiser. I was never idle enough to do much thinking, but i felt somehow that my instincts were right. At the same time, i shared a dark suspicion that the life we were leading was a lost cause, that we were all actors, kidding ourselves along a senseless odyssey. It was the tension between these two poles - a restless idealism on one hand a a sense of impending doom on the other - that kept me going."
