About Me
CURRENT MISSION
At the moment I'm busy teaching and learning Vietnamese, but I'm always down for a meetup during the day.
Meeting Fuji-San January 2017. EXCITEMENT OVERLOAD!
ABOUT ME
My teachers used to describe me as "smart but lazy".
I spent a lot of my early years in bars and now I find myself looking for a little bit more peace and quiet, although I still like a good night out.
I love a good conversation.
I like to be physically active but sleeping is still my favorite.
I love meeting new people and trying new things.
I love board games!
PHILOSOPHY
We will erase racism when we learn to celebrate our differences, not try to ignore them.
Smile if you want to, be yourself, give a gift to a stranger.
Be open to the world, laugh, do something nice every day.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on Couchsurfing to meet locals where I go, and of course, to save some money on ho(s)tels!
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I hosted a few fellow travelers I met on my last travels, and crashed on a few couches a well!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Hosted for Mayu, a friend from Japan that I met in Laos, we had a blast trying all sorts of different food and I showed her the essential sights of the city, as well as play-off hockey in bar.
Been to a few meet-ups here in Ho Chi Minh city.
Interests
People always say "I love every type of music" and I answer, "what would you go see live". For me that would be a punk band performing in a basement, a folk band in an outdoors festival, a Lao band in a rice field, a concert of traditional music.
I love movies, mostly Science-Fiction. I love Dragonball and cartoons like Venture Bros and South Park, Rick & Morty.
I love comic books, own about 3000 of them.
I love books, fantasy, sci-fi, history.
I love board games.
I love travelling!
I love having a good laugh with people.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Realized I wasn't happy, quit my job, sold my furniture and car, left everything and everyone behind and bought a one-way ticket to ASEA... Here I am!
An amazing thing I have done... going down the Great Canyon on the back of a mule I guess... but the mule did most of the work.
Drove 1700km from Hanoi to Saigon on a 40-year old motorbike.
Helped a Lao family open their restaurant, I can honestly say I have two families now.
Pay for a Cambodian's medicine for his baby by surprise on Christmas day. The look on his face when the doctor told him he didn't have to pay! Priceless!
Bungee jumping was the tits, better than skydiving I think.
Walked a tiny bit of the great wall of China.
Teach, Learn, Share
As I have been traveling since August 2014, I don't have much on me except clothes and books. I can share stories, advice, time.
I am also a certified TESOL English teacher. If you need, I will give you free English lessons!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share smiles, stories!
