About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Maybe... Go Europe?!!

ABOUT ME

I LOVE TRAVEL!! My goal in life is WORLD TRAVEL. I hope to share different cultures with people from all over the world and enjoy my life.

It is not easy to take time for travel as I work but I am trying to get more chances as many as I can. Someday near future I hope to see you soon! :-)

PHILOSOPHY

Trust is like a glass of mirror. Once broken, it never shows like before.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I searched some tips to backpack around Europe and found a blog of a girl who traveled with Couchsurfers.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I went to Seoul CS meet-up in July, 2007 and met nice people in there: Amy, Andrew, his friend, Hyejin and some other CSers.

And Jasper and Charlotte in Suwon. I loooooove this couple so much! Lovely and sweet dutch friends. We went out for a drink and Jazz bar in Seoul "Once in a blue moon". This Jazz bar is great, one of the wonderful places in Seoul!

And I met a lot of nice people thru Couchsurfing and look forward to seeing more and more people!

Interests

1. Travel: You see I am here :-)

2. Photography: I love to take my own time seeing the world from my point of view through camera and keep my precious time with pictures. I have a DSLR, Nikon D80 with Tamron 17-50mm. I am beginner at DSLR and like to get to know about photography better.

3. Exhibition: These days Korea hosts a lot of greatest exhibitions. You can check out the homepages of major art museums as follow:

Music, Movies, and Books

1. Movie and Film festivals
I am not a film maniac but I do love to visit film festivals. Korea has 3 major film festivals as below.

1.1. PIFF(Pusan International Film Festival)
http://www.piff.org
1.2. PiFan(Pucheon Internationl Fantastic Film Festival)
http://www.pifan.com
1.3. Jiff(Jeonju Internationl Film Festival)
http://www.jiff.or.kr

At the film festivals I like to see short films because I barely have chance to see those at a cinema. Film festival is not only about movies but also other entertainments like concerts, performances, exhibitions, special events and travel around the area.

Here is my story at PiFan. A short film, Juanito Under the Orange Tree, is a colombian short film that I liked the most at PiFan. After the movie, I asked the director of this film to sign an autograph on my ticket. And ... He gave me the CD of this film as a present!!! I found that he recorded it personally, handwrote the title on the CD and printed the cover. It is only one in the world! I was so impressed by his enthusiasm. He got the first award in short film sector at PiFan! :-)

2. Music: I love all kind of musics. Here is some of my favorite music list.
Day by day - Steve Barakatt
Song for my father - Horace Silver
Wave - Antonio Carlos Jobim
Memory - Musical Cats
Irlandaise- Claude Bolling

3. Books: I think I like to be consoled by books..
The Purpose Driven Life - Richard Warren
Your Best Life Now -Joel Osteen
Tuesdays with Morrie - Mitch Albom: This book reminds me important things in life that I easily forget

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I am not a big fan of extreme sports but it was definately worthy to do at least once in a lifetime!

1. Skydiving in Taupo, NZ in 2002
The tandom skymaster told me that we were so lucky. Even in breeze, they don't allow ppl to skydive since it is dangerous. Some ppl waited 10 days and just decited to go back with empty hands, but we brought beautiful sunshine to Taupo but dropped even a mere breeze back in Hamilton! So, we did it! :-)
In taupo, there is world's biggest lake. The plane flied up to the lake and I jumed out with skymater. How did I feel? :-) Awesome! I cannot explain with words. You do it! ;-)

2. Bungee jump in Qeenstown, NZ in 2002
It was rainny and I was told later there was flood in Queenstown. However, there was nothing before me to block me to do it! Yay!
Actually, bungee jump is more difficult than skydiving. Because, your tandom master will push you out of the plane so you dont have to decide to jump out. But, Bungee jump? Ppl counts, you decide to jump out!
There are two pictures before you train to bunge jump. One with proper position and another picture that you have to avoid..; I made exactly same pic with later one. ;-) I should try one more time and make a nice picture with proper position.
