ABOUT ME

We are setting up a new European family in the heart of the continent. Vera came from the east, Lasse from the north and Albert and Laura Ruth came from who-knows-where, but they were born here in Luxembourg City. They are wonderful!
We decided to settle down in this good city after moving around Europe for several years, because here we can combine a relatively inspiring working life with a sound family life, of course leaving space for occasional traveling, surfing and as much hospitality and hosting as we can overcome. We live in a row house 10 min. walk from the train station.

PHILOSOPHY

Can a philosophy be personal? Well, we would have to share a discussion about that.

Trying to catch up on new Scandinavian literature, e.g. Arto Paasilinna, Mikael Niemi, Per Petterson, Matias Faldbakken. Music: Check out the Ukrainian groups 5'nizza and Lюk. I dig contemporary jazz with a good ethnic and electronic twist, the late Esbjörn Svensson Trio is amazing. Vera is more into electronic stuff and Norwegian 'fele'. Favorite film: Hoří, má panenko by Miloš Forman.

Cigarette smuggling in the elektryczna train from L'viv (UA) to Przemysl (PL). At EU's new outer border a new Plastic Curtain is slowly but steadily descending, destroying families, politics, cultures and economies and once again boosting nationalism - this time it is our Iron Curtain!
