About Me

CURRENT MISSION

work, eat, travel. repeat.

ABOUT ME

I believe in working hard & playing hard, and jump at the chance to travel whenever I get the time (and money). I just finished graduate school and taking some time to move across the country.

I love surrounding myself with people who make me think about things in new ways... or who can cook a really good meal :)

PHILOSOPHY

"Do one thing every day that scares you"
-Eleanor Roosevelt

The experienced mountain climber is not intimidated by a mountain -- he is inspired by it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I joined in 2007 to surf while I traveled, but soon found it was much more than a way to find a cheap place to sleep. I've met such great people surfing, hosting, and through local meetups... I hope that continues!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had my first couchsurfing experience in September 2007 on Martins couch in Munich- I am hooked!

I have since couchsurfed in Paris and Budapest, and Israel, and I have met great couchsurfers in Prague, Baltimore and in DC.

Interests

outdoors, reading, traveling, making friends, music, laughing, pushing my limits and growing as a person, napping, singing in the shower, learning new languages (though I'm really bad at it), dancing, playing with dogs, sitting at cafe's talking for hours, eating, drinking good wine... and beer... and liquor, grabbing opportunities when they come

Music, Movies, and Books

I will read anything put in front of me. Currently into historical non-fiction.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I killed a chicken in Zambia.

I've eaten llama, antelope, armadillo, termites, alligator and a gibnut.

I built a house in Uruguay with no electricity.

Teach, Learn, Share

There is so much I want to learn, I don't even know where to begin... But I believe that there is something to learn from everyone.

I learned how to make flaming tequila bananas in Paris, I'm looking for someone to top that :)
