Music, Movies, and Books
World and alternative cinema. I rarely watch hollywood blockbusters. Electronic and acoustic music inc dub, reggae, breakbeat, latin and brazilian, african and all sorts of crossover styles.
The last books I read are The Kite-Runner (highly recommended novel set in Afghanistan,) Shantaram (fantastic book about an australian that escapes from jail and spends 7 years on the run in India) and South (about Ernest Shackleton's expedition to cross antartica in 1915.)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Probably walking the Inca trail to Machu Pichu in 1990 when Peru was in chaos with almost civil war conditions that meant that the trail was very prone to robberies. Our little multinational group of about 10 were some of the only people on the trail and it was a big adventure.
