ABOUT ME

Once upon a time there was a Young Lady from Cape Town named Ronda (or Ronnie to her friends)who set off on an adventure to the UK. After pottering around doing various things for about a year, she found herself working in a hotel in Wookey Hole, England. There she encountered a Brazilian Man, called Fabio. Unable to speak the language at first, Fabio enlisted the help of Ronnie as an English teacher, and after a few weeks of intensive english lessons, they discovered that they had exactly the same ideas for traveling the world!
So in July 2007 they set out for greater Europe, with big bags and vague plans...

As our jouney continues, our bags get smaller and our plans even more vague. We travel where the wind takes us and so far we have been back and forth across Europe and Morocco, playing music on the street sometimes, hitch hiking and couchsurfing. We wandered all the way to India, Nepal and South-East Asia before heading to South Africa (home) for a rest. From there we hauled ourselves all the way down under to New Zealand, and then to South America, first for some travel, and then for some rest in Brazil (home #2). Now onwards to the US for a change of climate and some skiing and an epic road trip from New Mexico to New York with our friend Lyndsay...

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Most of our time is spent travelling, so most of our experiences have been on the couches of others. We have also hosted couch surfers - its always great to return the hospitality everyone shows us!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We've surfed on many a couch, and have also been able to host a couple of couch surfers in South Africa and Brazil. Places we have surfed: Utrecht, Koln, Marseilles, The Alps in France, all over Switzerland, Birmingham, Bombay, Delhi, Bangkok, Auckland, Christchurch, Buenos Aries, Cordoba, Mendoza, Vina del Mar...! The list still grows!
