ABOUT ME

I like to see the world like my playground. Keep moving to work abroad, visiting and meeting people from everywhere. Never be afraid of what I don`t know! Also, I'm passionnate with Arts and Desing. I like to go abroad to see what is different and how they do. I also like to take it easy, partying, seeing concert venues and go to the beach.

I like to travel alone. Not cause I don't like people, but I realise it's easier for me to met locals and really feel the spirit of a place. In that way,I don't feel bad to be a lunatic.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm not the kind to waking up early to visit a church... but I would love in the afternoon. Montreal is an amasing city for shows, exhibitions, arts and a great lifestyle.

I like to take it easy, talking and have fun. I can give you some clues of what I like in town, where you must go, share a meal and have a drink. If there's a festival I'm the first one up to go!

I thing every districts have is personality and most of them have a lot to show to visitors. Now, my appartement/workshop is in Hochelaga Maisonneuve. It's not so far from the city center but I stay here most of my time because I work here. Not long ago, this distric was very poor and not welcoming at all! It's been 10 years, people started to open shops and restaurants around and slowly, it became anice community where people are talking together and elaborate ways to make this district different for what it used to be. And I love it :).

I'm not a tourist guide. I prefer to show MY Montreal. that's mean: my favorite local pubs, my friends, my house, my job, the best bagels makers in town and where I like to walk when it's sunny day.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Since I started my travel around Europe, I've been host by several people:
France: Guy et Patricia (Nantes), Hugo Salzi, Elohim Cebe (Toulouse), Kevin Salee (Marseille)
Portugal: Suzanna (Coimbra)
Belgium: Aureliano, Liz (Bruxelles), Tom (Brugges), Steven(Antwerp).
Holland: Ramon (Amsterdam)
Germany: Freed and Jenny (Berlin)
Italy: Serena (Milan), Max (Vicenza), Adriano (Napoli), Mario (Roma).

Well... pub crowlds, parties, CS meetings, drinking wine on the roof and watch the stars, coffes and museums.. all those people helped me a lot in my travels, make at themselves the most enjoying experiences of my travels and some of them stay good friends..

Since I'm back in MOntreal, I've hosted Britta, Judith and Janna, all from Germany and funny thing... I stopped for few years when my flat was really small and now I'm travelling seriously again with CS.. I thought I might help travelers the way Iike to be help abroad.

meeting people from everywhere, been broken-hearted to leaving a place but enthousiastic about what's coming up!,losing myself in a city i dunno... discover new spots!Museums, Arts and Design, going out, drawing, vintage shop, coffee and cigarettes for breakfast, watching good and bad "funny" movies, make a fireplace in my garden (that was in Dublin, but I keep it by nostalgic mood) , have such a good laugh than that's hurt, making by myself clothes, photography, collecting what i found nice...

At the moment, I'm listening: Tom Waits, Man Man, Naked and Famous, Misteur Valaire, Beck, Fatboys Slim, Cake, Sigur Rus, MGMT, Radiohead, Bran Van 3000, Daft Punk, Edith Piaf, Jacques Brel, Boris Vian, Serge Gainsbourg etc. etc... i most forgot the most important... i'm sure... that's go most with my feelings, I'm always up to listen something new.
