Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
saving the world
ABOUT ME
divorced and will never marry again
still love my ex... and many other goddesses.
burned out on jobs, and will never work one again
still love programming, will code for fun and occasionally for prime rib and a pint of stout... but don't hold me to a deadline or pile on more than a week's worth of work at a time.
PHILOSOPHY
armchair anarchist... mind over matter... do what i want as much as possible, knowing that if i step too far out of society's bounds they have ways of punishing me, and my guns and ammo can only hold out so long if they really decide to come get me.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
my place, the Don Nowhere Shebeen, has room for 5 to 20 couchsurfers depending on how much they're willing to "rough it". it's OK to stay even when I'm on the road myself; how many other couchsurfers can claim that?
the websites wikitravel.org and openstreetmap.org are natural adjuncts to couchsurfing.com. i participate in both and encourage other couchsurfers to do likewise.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
wonderful people, great experience
Interests
sex. sustainable living. sex. burning man. sex. windpower. sex. free world transit. sex. sharing information. did i mention... good beer?
- beer
- coding
Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: The Matrix. There's only one. Blade Runner, Frequency... not much for movies any more... seems everything is crap lately... i thought this video, Zeitgeist, was different but it turns out they took JFK's quotes out of context to prove their point, discrediting themselves. fucking idiots, hurting the cause of freedom when they could have helped.
Music: classic rock, baby. and lots of other rock; the past few years i've been digging these brits with the minor chords like Dido, Coldplay, Keane... Rammstein has some awesome shit, i'm using the lyrics to re-learn German. and fellow couchsurfer Scav turned me on to metal, something i've been ignoring for years.
Books: Heinlein, Quinn, Rand, Robbins, Marrs, (Icke? Ick! ok, yeah, him too...) anyway, haven't been reading much lately, on a programming kick
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
bicycled from Deming to Blythe along I-10, just another surreal experience in my Pynchonesque life.
Teach, Learn, Share
sustainable living. i teach, i learn.
