CURRENT MISSION
looking for adventure, fighting stagnancy
ABOUT ME
I work at an independent used book store in San Francisco's mission district, I write a lot of songs about dinosaurs swimming pools and being sad for a band called the Yellow Dress, I write for and troll the internet for weird links in service of a website called the rumpus (http://therumpus.net/author/dan-weiss/), I like to leave little notes and things in fancy hotels, I consistently have no idea what to do on my days off.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
After a year of regularly hosting I fell off the couch surfing radar for a while due to job and location changes, but I have returned in full force hoping to do some surfing of my own and planning to host upon my return!
Interests
Oceans lakes and rivers, electrical storms, mix tapes, other places, errors in subtitles and closed captions, 24 hour cafes, trilling, really dramatic statues of eagles, synesthesia, the origins of words, fact checking, the search for the perfect pop song, the road, not getting too comfortable, really bad metaphors, walking, starting things, people are pretty cool too.
