About Me
CURRENT MISSION
My short term mission is to enjoy two months in Europe learning about different cultures, art, and people. After that, I have to figure out what I'm doing with my life.
ABOUT ME
There is nothing that I enjoy more than a long conversation over coffee, tea, or wine, whether it is with my lifelong best friend or a new acquaintance. I view everyday as an opportunity to learn or experience something new, so I am constantly reading, listening to music, going to concerts, seeing art exhibits, etc. I am a loyal friend and always open to getting to know someone new.
PHILOSOPHY
I strive in all of my relationships and personal endeavors to be genuine, honest, and open-minded. I am always open to hearing a new point of view. I believe that the only way to grow intellectually, emotionally and personally is to challenge myself and go outside my comfort zone.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm going to be traveling for the next two months, but once I get back to Chicago and get my own place, my couch is your couch.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
As a recent college grad, I've had my fair share of unofficial experience hosting and being a CouchSurfer. These days, my favorite couch surfing trip is to New York, where most of my childhood friends from Chicago have relocated.
Interests
I am always interested in trying something new. Even when I am at home in Chicago, I am constantly seeking out corners of the city I have never seen or experienced. As a result, I love playing ambassador to the city, both to people who have never stepped foot in Chicago and those who have lived there their whole lives.
Since I am a city girl at heart, I love all things cultural: music, art, good cuisine, architecture. I grew up a classical musician (cello), but my dad raised me to love classic rock. If you can't find me in a rock concert venue, I'm probably at a cafe reading.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I think one of the best things I have ever done is study abroad in Italy. It is an invaluable experience to participate in another culture, and I really believe there is no better way to get to know yourself.
