About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Steering my thought machine into brick walls and away from children

ABOUT ME

Alright its about time I updated this section with some meaning. I'm a fairly recent college graduate, who began his studies interested in geology and left with a degree in international business. My studies took me around Europe where I had the fortune of discovering Couch Surfing and meeting some truly extraordinary individuals.

Currently I'm readying myself to teach English in Guri/Seoul, South Korea. Thus you have a wannabe geologist turned international business goon turned Children ESL teacher. Ah only if I could find that perfect niche career of being an international rocks salesman to Korean children. Besides my half-assed credentials, at the end of the week, I'm the kid rock'n out to music while semi-cautiously riding his bicycle on the wrong side of the road.

PHILOSOPHY

Destiny is realized once you understand that freedom of choice does not exist and that you live in a world of cause and effect.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have been traveling student thus far. Since I'm new to this organization I'm still conjuring up ideas on what I can do to help. When I settle into Korean life I will begin offering my abode to the abode-less traveler.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've crashed some couches and have had my couch crashed. I've more importantly, met some great people in the process. Learned much about the world of generosity...still the experience continues

Thus far I've built a wardrobe, fell for a practical joke, hosted a traveling American, and a Frenchman with a plan. I've met some great Cypriots, an evil Athenian, beaucoup Frenchmen, a awe inspiring Spaniard, some very cool Moroccans, overly intelligent Turks, and a wonderful Cambodian/Frenchie.

Interests

I'm interested in the gray area between black and white issues. The expressions and creativity that people behold. The complexities of simplistic dichotomy.

As a kid I was interested in dirt, no joke. That led me into studying geology, which is the science of looking at dirt...clean fingernails back then was not a interest of mine.

If its political, sociological, economical, philosophical, musical or scientific then I want to hear it. If it has a strong bias expect me to smile at its willingness to be expressed and the hilarity it reveals.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy history books, currently my favorite is "The Ascent of Money," by Ferguson. I also adore, at this moment, the country/rock experiment that is turning up in American music. Movies...well I just watched a hip PBS series on the origin of Man.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I do little and my eyes only permit me to see ten feet in front of me...this however has only broden my horizons for I have had to resort to my imagination to fill in the gaps...I have awoke on the wrong side of the bed on the wrong side of a country more than once...

Teach, Learn, Share

I will always be a student, never quit pursuing truth even how false that journey may be. I have:
-rudimentary understandings of economics
-science background in geology
-some musical talent
-two open ears
-As of recent some knowledge of basic English grammar.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, France, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Morocco, Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey

Countries I’ve Lived In

Cyprus, Czech Republic, France, South Korea, United States
