About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Grown up phase Round 2! Masters degree in Counselling Psychology for five of the last five years, travelled for the five before that. Currently I'm growing community and hanging with my parents and elderly dogs.
ABOUT ME
I create an inner and outer world of healing celebration by loving compassionately. I want to live this life with intention and love and laughter. I strongly believe in committed non-violent resistance to injustice. Buddhism guides me everyday but I see the value and connection between all practices and faiths. Making music and friends and traveling is what this life is about, living critically and with compassion is the way to give more people access to my privileges. And dancing...let there be dancing.
PHILOSOPHY
I see the potential we have for creating a better world. I think this starts with love of ourselves and others. I personally try to follow a Buddhist understanding of non-attachment, compassion and awareness. I do not believe in violence as a solution but I also acknowledge the challenges that so many face are well beyond my comprehension. I do not wish to judge others and I can only hope for the same in return. My happiest moments are when I'm just enjoying this life for what it is with all it entails.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: Comedies, inspirational flicks, political lectures (a little Noam Chompsky when the time is right).
Books: any penguin classic, greek myth, Herman Hesse, Tolstoy, engaging fictions, really I read all sorts of crap and that's the way I like it.
Music: I write my own music and listen to just about everything... I generally try and avoid the stuff that's forced down our throats by richies.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I spend a few weeks in this little village in Flores Indonesia where I never would have stopped if I hadn't have gotten sick. See me in person and I'll give the whole story.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am a Counsellor, finally! I also work with children and teenagers from both immigrant/refugee populations as well as mental/physical disability populations. I also love playing music with people and collaborative song writing. Juggling, dancing, riding bikes.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my music, my laughter, my dish-cleaning abilities, my kind eyes and consensual hugs!
