We're two Australians who've gone wandering around this small world. We love meeting the locals on our travels, and both wish we had the superpower of having a 'babelfish' so we could understand ANY language we hear...

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We are looking to meet like minded people (and others too :-)) around the world to share their cultures and lives... it's always so much better via the eyes/ears/nose/tastebuds of a local. This means whilst we do on occasion love to surf a coach, we are often just as interested in meeting up for a coffee or drink and be guided to interesting places by interesting locals.

So far in our travels we're often so pleasantly surprised by the generosity of strangers who've given us a couch/spare bed to stay on for the night... We look forward to a time in the not too distant future when we can also have a couch/bed to offer in return!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant! We've had only great couchsurfing experiences! The best part of the experience is always the connection with a local person, who passes on their local knowledge - whether it's simple recommendations for places to go/see/eat, or more indepth insights into their culture/politics/lifestyles. We love it!

As Duke Ellington once said 'There's only two types of music. Good and bad'. Particularly find delectable: old school soul-rnb-rare groove-(p)funk, dubbed up electronica, split slop brit plop, all the classics of rawk, jazz, and some good ole fashioned pop.

Love films - all genres! ...drama, comedy, documentary, quirky, sci-fi, musicals, animation.

Reading mostly non-fiction at the moment - stuff about 'the world' - popular science, music and culture, and travel :-)

Sime loves making music and plays around on a range of instruments... he's always up for a jam!
Netty loves editing video and playing around with graphics. Both of us love experimenting with photography and visuals - we have some experience as 'VJs' making projections and are interested in playing with this more... Professionally, we are both artsworkers who often facilitate workshops in sound and video production and related skills. We are more than happy to 'exchange' any skills we have...
And open to learning everything on offer!
