About Me

CURRENT MISSION

find the right path (being short-sighted, it may take a while...)

ABOUT ME

I value friendship and respect of the others, love to meet people from all over the world, love animals (but have no back yard, so leave your pet elephant at home, please), love to spend time with friends but sometimes need my moments of solitude, I am reliable, imaginative, and have a good sense of humour (I think!)

PHILOSOPHY

life is a journey: I'm trying to make the most of the encounters, the events and the unexpected things I may experience, always remembering where I come from.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

It's pretty new to me, although some years ago I hosted some Japanese students met in Lancaster, and had a good time both in Craiova and in the mountains.
My first CS experience was in Portugal, in 2007, and it was something absolutely wonderful: in Leiria I felt at home among very generous people who showed me the surrounding places, and Lisbon meant meeting a very interesting person with extraordinary travelling experiences!

Interests

languages, photography, travelling, architecture, interior design, languages, African and Asian cooking and cultures,hmmm... have I mentioned languages? :-)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

?? my friends considered it amazing when I ventured to go skiing although I had never done it before (well, I did break my leg after only two hours, but it was a great experience...skiing, I mean!), or when I went to Rome for just 2 1/2 days for the Modigliani exhibition.
One other thing I'll never forget: a fir-tree nursery somewhere in the mountains, here in Romania.

Teach, Learn, Share

Learn? Tips about African and Asian cooking, I'm becoming a fan! Teach? You mean, besides foreign languages? Hmmm, I'll have to get back to you on that.

Countries I’ve Visited

Albania, Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, France, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Macedonia, Netherlands, Portugal, United Kingdom
