ABOUT ME

I am a veteran teacher and an avid cyclist and also run. In general, I like to stay fit and being active keeps me grounded. Music is a a key part of my life and I see a fair number of shows. I also like to explore new restaurants and new scenes and have a great sense of humor,although a bit goofy.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe in being honest, kind and warm. I live life with a great deal of energy and welcome new people and new experiences. My friends know that if they want to try something new I am usually the one to call. I balance responsibility with fun and don't take anything too seriously.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am currently reading History of Love. I am a lighthearted person but tend to like to read "heavy" stuff. I can get lost in a book. Music: Wilco, My Morning Jacket, Band of Horses, Radiohead, Beck, Portishead, G. Love, etc etc.
Movies: all kinds except I am not a sci fi or action adventure person (but willing to try). Loved Amadeus, Rushmore, American Beauty, Once, etc. I like the human angst stuff

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Lago de Atilan in Guatamala (Casa del Mundo), Monteverde in Costa Rica, Lake District-U.K. Northern California coast, Oregon Coast. The best was swimming in the turquoise Mediterranean Sea.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am very resourceful and find interesting ways to approach things. I am organized and I can instruct you on cycling and the the environment in general. In my spare time I go to shows, hang with friends and sew and work on little projects. I would love to learn anything new!
