About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To walk on my feet and see with my eyes. To understand and to be understood.

ABOUT ME

Describing yourself is so hard! I'll fill this space with something more substantial later.

PHILOSOPHY

Live to experience. Experience to understand. Understand to live.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've done a little bit of both hosting and surfing. My friend and I were able to do some Couchsurfing in Japan, and I most definitely intend to repay the favour when I can. I've hosted a fair amount of people in the past, all of whom provided for interesting and rewarding experiences. To a great extent, I also relied on the CS community while taking an Interrail trip around Europe in the summer of 2008.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Too many to describe in detail, but I've mostly hosted so far. I've also done some couchsurfing prior to registering at this site, notably in the US. While in Japan a great guy by the name of Mochan hosted eight of us at his home in Shizuoka. It was great fun and I met lots of kind and interesting people. Summer 2008, I went on a small Interrail trip of about two weeks, during which I relied on CS more or less exclusively for accommodation. The only exceptions were when I stayed with friends I already knew outside of the CS community. It was a pretty nice trip, and I think I might have made a few long-term friends in the process.

Interests

I enjoy things that stimulate me intellectually, although, being a bit of a daydreamer, I often get distracted. I'm also an absolute sucker for a good story, be that in the form of writing, moving pictures, or a video game. I like social gatherings, though I'm not very fond of crowds.

For now let's stick to one of each:
All About Lily Chou-chou (movie)
Pink Floyd's The Wall (music)
The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy (book)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've had many great experiences, but I don't recall ever having done much of significance myself. Just your average Joe, except when I'm not.
