ABOUT ME

We are a Spanish couple, Carol (42 years old) and Fran (44), very friendly, sociable and tolerant people. We have 2 lovely daugthers called Nora (11) and Lía (6).
Travelling is probably our first passion, get to know new places, cultures, languages and... The most important: making friends all over the world!

Fran: I grew up in a small town called Baiona, in Galicia (North-West of Spain). I studied Video Editing at the University, and then I moved to Barcelona looking for a job. There was where I met Carol and we decided to leave our country. We were living in Italy for a year and have already returned to Spain.
Carol: I was born in Avila (a small city close to Madrid). I studied Environmental Sciences and went on Erasmus to Portugal for 1 year. I fell in love with that country and I stayed at Lisbon for one more year. After my studies, I decided to go to London to improve my English (hard work!). Then I went to Barcelona (for 3 years) and after a year in Italy finally came back to Spain.

PHILOSOPHY

Try to live our life in an open-minded way, learning new things every day and laughing a lot! Respecting the environment and trying to do something to help this planet...

Emilio (Spain) => Genova (08/2007) we have hosted him so many times...! He's lovely, my best friend.
Geertje (Netherlands) => Madrid (02/2008) She surfed our couch for 4 days. It was nice to meet her.
Helga (Cape Verde) => Cape Verde (08/2004) and London (01/2006) host us for several days. She's one of my best friends since we met in Lisbon.
Esther & Maite (Spain) => Valencia (03/2008) We surfed at Esther&Maite's house. They are are wonderful couple, with their wonderful baby.
Cristina (Spain) => Javea (several times) I've surfed Cristina's couch in Javea and Valencia, and she has surfed mine in Ávila... She's very funny, and a good friend.
Teresa (Spain) => Coruña (maaaany times) I can't remember how many times we have travelled together. Teresa hosts me and I hosts her since we were very young...
Rachel (USA) => Madrid (may'08) We host her for 3 nights. She's a very happy person and makes you feel happy as well
Jose and Antonio (Spain) => Barcelona (summer 2005) I host them for a week. They are among my best friends.
Anna (Italy) => Madrid (March-May'08) she stayed with us for 1 month and a half. We met in Barcelona and became good friends.
Onur (Turkey) => Istanbul (summer'08) Onur hosted us for 2 nights, ... Turkish experience!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- The most beautiful sunset on Caparica's beach (Lisbon)
- Take a bath on a Salt Lake in Cape Verde, where the density of the water is so high that you just float (forget diving!)
- The moonlight upon the Blue Mosque in Istanbul, while sound of the call for the pray involves you...
- The incredible clear waters of the Greek Islands and the hopitality of his people.

We can help you with your Spanish, and you can do the same with our Italian, English or Portuguese...

We enjoy cooking (and eating). We would like to know new flavours, so if you are a good cook, just show us some of your specialties... We could exchange some recipes!
