About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Indulging my wanderlust and meeting kindred spirits

ABOUT ME

It's summer, which means that it's time to sit on porches and talk with good friends in the sunshine. It's also time to bike, dance, try to write books, and cook some delicious food. (But when is it not time for those things?)

PHILOSOPHY

"Forget safety. Live where you fear to live. Destroy your reputation. Be notorious." — Rumi

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have met some wonderful people in my travels, and would love to provide space and entertainment for them should they ever wander my way. I would also love to meet new folks and see new places.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've surfed and hosted with friends and travel buddies, but I've only couch surfed with a stranger once. It was a great experience, so thanks, couchsurfing!

Interests

Theatre, writing, reading, music, sunshine and friends are the best. Porch sitting, dance, yoga, and beaches are also not bad.

Music: Kris Delmhorst, Bonnie Raitt, Butterfly Boucher, Mika, Erin McKeown, The Chieftains, The Indigo Girls, Great Big Sea— most things that are good!

Books: Robin McKinley, Sarah Waters, C.S. Lewis, Shamim Sarif, Madeleine L'Engle, George Eliot, Michael Chabon, Gene Stratton Porter, Margaret Atwood, The Backs of Cereal Boxes, Most Things Within Reach

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I studied Gregorian Chant in Ireland with some monks a few years back.
