ABOUT ME

My name is Junior and I live in Caraguatatuba. I was born in Guarulhos, São Paulo, but I moved to Caraguá when I was 5. When I was 19, I moved to Japan and lived there for 4 years. It was a great experience for me. I learned japanese and made lots of friends there, from many places from the world, and I also hosted a few people through CS at my place there. I returned to Brazil on March 11th 2009, and now I`m working in Caraguá. Nice to meet you.

ABOUT CARAGUÁ

Caraguatatuba is a Brazilian town on the northern coast of São Paulo. It belongs to Mesoregion the Paulista Paraíba Valley and microregion of caraguatatuba. It is located east of the state capital, 178 km away from it. The city occupies an area of ​​485.097 square kilometers. In 2014 its estimated population was 111,524 inhabitants, resulting in a population density of 229.9 inhabitants / km². In 2013 was the 75th most populous of São Paulo and 269 nationwide.

The city has an average annual temperature of 25 ° C and the original vegetation of the city is dominated by rainforest. Its Human Development Index (HDI) is 0.759, considering high for the majority of the country, and the 169 highest in the state.

Caraguatatuba was elevated to a town in 1770. The town 's growth has come with the arrival of foreign families , who settled in the ´´Fazenda dos Ingleses`` . The property was established in 1927 and brought benefits such as increased population, the training of agricultural workers and artisans, the emergence of trade and the substantial growth of municipal tax collection .
