Overview
About Me
I am traveling in New Zealand with a lovely lady named Eva. We met in Picton in the end of September and decided to do the Abel Tasman Track together. We have been traveling together ever since. We are both good, genuine people whom I'm sure you would enjoy meeting!
ABOUT ME
I like to think I am a down to earth, good spirited gal. Because my parents seem to be polar opposites, I think i have turned out to be a pretty well balanced person. My father's pragmatism, and mother's earthy nature has helped me to turn out somewhere right in between. I try not to take things too seriously while keeping an intention for the things I want in life.
I love humor and the simple pleasure of laughing with others. I appreciate balance, perspective and subtlty within life. I thrive on finding connections between all things while constantly adding my observations to a greater pool of understanding.
PHILOSOPHY
Trust the flow of life. You get out what you put in. Perception is everything!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My first couch surfing experience was in San Francisco, and it was great! I cannot believe the trust offered to me and my friend. Granted, we don't look too intimidating, but still, people were amazing. I appreciate them and all their hospitality.
Interests
I love natural world. Within Utah alone, there are so many wonderful places that in my opinion, are the closest thing to "God" that I know of. New Zealand is now blowing my mind at every corner!
I am very interested in the field of Ecopsychology which examines how we are all innately connected with nature and the role it plays in the equalibrium of human beings. It also ties into ideas of sustainability and environmentalism among other things.
I do as much yoga and climbing as I can as well:) Sitting around with a beer and good people is also a good pastime.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love many types of music. I have been stuck in all sorts of music from the 60's and 70's. Bob Dylan is probably one of the only man I have ever really loved. Overall, I could never pinpoint my favorite music-it's all about the mood. The blues and the electric guitar are the two that are always pulling at my heart-strings.
I love reading books about Eastern philosphy, and books about the connection of women and nature. My favorite book though (in which i recomend anyone to read) is called, "My Name is Chellis and I'm in Recovery From Western Civilization", it sound cheesy, but it changed my life.
