Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
travel, adventure, cold beer, and a good night's sleep
ABOUT ME
i'm self-employed, so i'm either working all hours of the day and week or free to enjoy all that life has to offer.
i love travelling - natch! - and meeting people from all over the world. i'm laid back, more of a day person than a night hawk, and prefer pubs over clubs.
feel free to read my travel blog to learn more about me and my adventures.
PHILOSOPHY
"do not hesitate"

Music, Movies, and Books
i'm a movie-holic. i only read books to learn stuff: teaching, sailing, traveling, languages. so far, my one regret in life is not learning to play a musical instrument.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
local stuff: i have sailed/kayaked the gulf islands of bc. i have been face to face with a pissed-off black bear and escaped unscathed. i (and my liver) survived a summer of 24-hour sunlight and non-stop drinking in the yukon.
international stuff: i have survived quite a few 150-km/h, "lanes? what lanes?", manic honking taxi rides. i missed the last bus of the day on an island in greece and had to walk 30km to get back to town. i attended a hungi and "took the waters" in rotorua, new zealand. my camel tried to buck me off in tunisia.
Teach, Learn, Share
i'm a professional instructional designer, trainer, and writer.
one of my passions is learning different languages. i'm currently focusing on speaking (not writing) mandarin chinese.
