About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To see as much of the world as possible and meet lots of kind and warm people along the way!

ABOUT ME

I recently moved to Australia after travelling around the world looking for a new place to call home.

I love Canda deeply but I wasn't meant to live in a cold country.

I spent most of my life working throughout Canada as a journalist at every level from junior assistant all the way up to National Reporter.

I left that career to look for new challenges and adventures. I am really discovering new parts of myself and my new identity as a 'civilian.'

I really enjoy what I am doing now. I'm launching a new organic wine brand that I hope will be very successful but will also hold the wine industry accountable for the large amount of chemical sprays they use on the fruit. These sprays are bad for you and the environment.

PHILOSOPHY

There is nothing more important than treating others around you as you want to be treated. The world would be a dramatically better place if everyone did this.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I found out about this site from a German guy on a bus. I think it's a wonderful concept and a very effective way to build bridges between people. I don't have somewhere now that can host anyone, but I hope to get settled soon so that I can start repaying all the kindness I've received along the way.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far I have had a great time couch surfing. I stayed with the King and Queen of couch surfing in Greece and they were so much fun! And many other kind people along the way. The two girls in Syria were also amazing when I went there to work with refugees. People are SOOOOOO kind!!!

Interests

Snowboarding, dj's, working out, meditation and yoga and sports.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite book is Brave New World, I also really liked a book I just read called Book of Lost Things. I like all kinds of music but most often listen to classic rock or house.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think camping in the middle of the libyan desert with no vehicle and no way of communicating with the outside world, in a place that I would never be able to find my way out of, was the most amazing thing I've experienced.

Teach, Learn, Share

I offer an insight into the world of journalism. I got as high as you can go within Canadian journalism and saw some interesting things good and bad. I'm a good writer and love to tell stories. As for what I want to learn, just about anything that someone is willing to teach! I prefer to listen to others rather than talk about myself. I can also now tell you just about anything you want to know about how wine is made.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Canada, Cuba, Egypt, Greece, Haiti, Ireland, Libya, Mexico, Spain, Thailand, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
