trying to start an ngo, just had the first grant

ABOUT ME

Grew up in Glasgow and then spent 6 years in Dundee studying and doing a bit of travelling and lots of having fun. Maybe too much but not sure how much is too much........
At the end of my studies got involved in international volunteering and inter cultural projects and really found my space there.
After this I spent about 18 months abroad doing EVS and volunteering in the offices of a couple of international voluntary work NGO's in Cardiff and Tokyo.
During EVS in spent 9 months in Teneriefe for a small NGO that specialised in organising training and helping small organisations get grants and people into employment.
It was a great experience as I got the chance to explore a really amazing part of the world. The Canary
Islands, learn Spanish and discover the islands my father is from.
Trying to start an NGO now and just had our 1st grant :)

PHILOSOPHY

All that really exists are feelings, it's the only thing that you can really prove. To make someone feel good is to change the world.

stayed with a lovely dutch girl in Utrect (thanks andrea), haven't hosted yet, but hope to soon. apart from that I keep bumping into people that are couch surfers and staying at their house, does that count :)

Música, películas y libros

just been to edinburgh fringe for loads of comedy, was great.

Going to see Ocean Colour Scene, Gogol Bordello and Manu Chao in the next 3 months :)

Just read Clock work orange but gernerally stick to factual or theoretical books as there is too much stuff to know :( :)
