ABOUT ME

Everytime I arrived in somewhere strange for the first time, I've felt something very friendly rather than unfamiliar.

I have lots of friends who support me all the way and they are the biggest asset of my life.

I believe that I have a talent in entertaining people, while my friends strongly deny it.

I'm rather like a person of discreet sense of humour than rock-and-roll type.

I'm not really used to defining myself since I believe, in terms of self-portraying, what I do is more accurate that what I think about me.

PHILOSOPHY

Excessive philosophy sometimes gets in the way and prevents reasonable compromise. So I ended up remembering...

'An wiseman sees as much as he ought, not as much as he can.'

Forgot who said this, and don't feel like googling who said this; however, this verse helped me alot when I was preparing the hardest exam that I ever took.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

It's a decent idea.

At first, I couldn't understand ppl, who want to stay in stranger's house just because they wanna save some money, and I didn't feel like helping them, cause it could be risky to accommodate strangers.

But if you could have a chance to talk with them and see what your guests are interested in, you could feel much more comfortable in helping.

Marriot points could take you to the hotels all over the world, but it can't ever show you a dynamic transition from intimidated encounter to everlasting friendship with your new friend.

For this reason, I support CS and wanna accommodate as many friends as I can.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've always felt strongly uncomfortable to stay in strangers' house until I first got to stay in Bergamo, Italy, where an old couple invited me and my parents to their vine yard country house.

They didn't want anything from us, and they just saw a nice family wandering in their hometown and wanted to help. We couldn't leave without giving them a present, but we brought nothing.So we left 100euro on their bed.
(Caution: Be extremely alert, though, in Rome or southern Italy. If you're invited by a stranger, it doesn't always end up happy like this.)

And now we can't wait to host them in Canada or in Seoul.

I've never couchsurfed thru this site, but I hope I can post good memories here soon.

I have CASI Level 1 license. A weekend-professional snowboarder. I love sports. I played tennis in varsity, I cycle for like 40km straight, I play golf for under 90. I'm also PPL pilot who often fly C172 based in CYHU.

I enjoy sculupturing and painting in local atelier.

I even like spending time watching Desperate housewives with my girl friends.

There are only two places that I've NEVER been to. Arab and Africa.

I've been to so many places and I love to view myself throught the eyes of foreign standards. When I get somewhere, I instantly become a local there.

I don't particularly want to express myself to a non specific mass on the internet, but in reality I try to maintain high profile.
