ABOUT ME

I recently realized that I have grown old. I also realized that I've entered the beginning stages of wisdom - meaning I know what I don't know is greater than the totality of what I do know. I'm okay with that. I'm steady and happy and live to share my happiness with my wife and friends.

Honest conversations can be really difficult but they are also the only thing that create real love.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Great evening in Charlottetown, PEI with my best friend and his brother. We sat out a rainstorm in a pub and met some folks who offered us a share of their living room for the night. Stay at our home and I'll share the whole story (and a pint.)

We love beer and all outdoor activities - one necessarily comes after the first; sometimes before; frequently, they share the space. Winter sliding, summer gliding, and other seasonal walks-in-the-woods.

Chris Guest and Harry Shearer write the best films (Guffman, Spinal Tap, etc.) and they even play some fine fiddle.
I do like my bluegrass and Americana-esque music. Roddy Doyle has provided many hours of reading enjoyment. Erin has read all of the Harry Potter books - for good or bad.

I spent three months in Botswana working with children orphaned by AIDS. I've spent the past three years working to find ways of eradicating AIDS in Botswana. That's amazing. Erin spent a couple month in Ghana doing medicine at a small mission hospital.
