ABOUT ME

Illona is a food-obsessed chef who's life goal is to change the way the average person sees food, plus she's intellectual and quick-witted to boot.

Will is planning to go to law school after this trip, but until then all he needs is the day's New York Times, a cup of coffee and a surfboard.

PHILOSOPHY

Illona-The world is not black and white. The world cannot be divided into good and evil. Everything has its balance even if some choose not to acknowledge it. I live to acknowledge that balance and savor every minute of my existence.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Currently we are putting ourselves at the mercy of the couch owners. We are nomads who want to meet as many awesome people around the world as possible and continue to create this growing network of friends. As soon as we settle down after this trip, we will absolutely open our couch and make sure it's a comfortable one.

Movies- Any Wes Anderson, Any David Lynch, anything narrated by Sir David Attenborough, Quentin Tarantino movies. Movie philosophy: Christopher Walken and Kung Foo is really all you need.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Illona- Eaten mushrooms found by foraging in unknown terrain...and lived to tell about it.

Will- Ran with the fastest man in the world.

Teach, Learn, Share

Illona is a chef with a plethora of knowledge to share with anyone curious about food. She would love to exchange recipes and hear stories of others relationship to food. She wishes that at the end of her journey, she can use the knowledge she's acquired to literally change the way the average person approaches eating.

Will is literally the most interesting person she's ever met and so he could absolutely enlighten anyone engaged in conversation with him.
