ABOUT ME

American expat living in DK Songwriter, artist, traveler, teacher, father, founder of the annual Copenhagen Songwriters Festival, weekly Listening Room Open Stage and Listening Room International Songwriter Retreats held annually in seven countries since 2002. Friendly, open, curious, joyful, creative, expressive, trustworthy, loyal, philosophical without too seriousness, humorous, a romantic, seeker and dreamer.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Given my role as founder/producer of the Copenhagen Songwriters Festival, I've established a wide network of hosts in Copenhagen for travelers (primarily songwriters) and also assist them in finding hosted housing in Los Angeles, Stockholm, Galway, Berlin, London and the other major cities and regions where I travel regularly.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Haven't had an official one through this service yet - but many, many good ones through my own touring times. The funniest so far was sleeping in a child size bunk bed in Martha's Vineyard (lovely hosts, and it was that or the floor ;-)

I read books primarily, along with listening to hundreds of indie songwriters and making my own songs.

1) Watching my daughter being born.
2) Watching Barack Obama being sworn in as the US president.
3) Seeing Jackson Browne, Art Garfunkel, Steven Stills & Graham Nash gathered around the piano at a show I helped produce.

I lead international songwriter workshops in several countries, encouraging both professionals and beginners to go deeper into their creative spirit. Listening Room International Songwriter Retreats. And love sharing my perspective on the creative process, while watching others lights burn brighter :-)
