About Me

CURRENT MISSION

See more of the world, and of myself through it!

ABOUT ME

2012 status: Am starting a globetrotting part of my life -a bit late but very well worth the wait! I am currently living in New Jersey on the week-ends and travel to Toronto for work during week days. On top of finally getting the chance to head to the most Eastern tip of my beautiful country (viva Newfoundland!), I had the opportunity to visit beautiful areas of the USA this summer: Virginia Beach, Cape Cod, Phoenix, Montana, Mt Rushmore, LA, and, oh, the prestigious Mitchell (South Dakota) Corn Palace! Loved it! :)
Also, I had the change to go on a beautiful trip to Turkey and Cyprus! What a stunning discovery! I loved every second of it!

2011 status: Have met some great CSers reminding me to update my profile, hence, here it is! :)
This yr has been fairly travel free; I've taken only three weeks off during which I discovered Eastern Europe, which was amazing as I was finally able to link with some of my family origins (my grandfather was Hungarian).
Apart from that, I've settle down and finally found myself a job that I really like (yes, keep looking guy, these jobs do exist!). I've also had the pleasure to welcome 2 cats in my home (my first pets since I moved out from the family home, 10 yrs ago!)
No crazy travel plans for 2012: am thinking to either go back to Japan to see family or go to Turkey or somewhere warm backpacking with a girlfriend for a month. Warmth: hmmmm!
(Yes, not all Canadians are winter lovers! ;)

2010 status: Since I came back, have been having a fun yr yet have been working too much! So, back on the bohemian life: am quiting my job (again!) this summer and my boyfriend and I are heading onto a 2 months road trip until Central America!

2009 status: I have been doing a fair amount of traveling this year: it was one of these wake-up calls from life. Therefore, I've quit my job, sold my bike, stored my things and bought a few plane tickets!

PHILOSOPHY

You have one life to live!

"Read, every day, something no one else is reading. Think, everyday, something no one else is thinking. Do, every day, something no one else would be silly enough to do."
- Christopher Morley

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have been exchanging with some amazing ppl in different countries and I think that it's that community aspect and the involvement of each and everyone that makes CS possible -and so fun!
About hosting: my living arrangement isn't the most stable but will definitely have a place available when I settle down!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had an outstanding experience going across the States and meeting CS friends all over! It's what made the whole difference in the trip and I'm tremendously grateful of having met such outstanding ppl! I have also met with some delightful and fun ppl in Barcelona and Valencia, as well as in Taiwan! I am truly looking forward to continuing these encounters and meeting more couchsurfers.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Have visited such beautiful places! I don't know where to start... Parties ending at 8am in Spain... Jogging in the medieval city of Carcassonne... Seeing the sunrise from a volcano in Reunion at 5am, after a 2 hrs hike... Laughing fully and to excesses with new friends I had just met and that I've been so glad to cross paths with!

Teach, Learn, Share

Chances are that the more that I travel, the more I will have to share on this. This is the whole purpose of CS, no? But, I have been away from home for 6 weeks and I have already seen and experienced so much. I can't wait to see what things will be like in a few months!
