About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Get smart

ABOUT ME

I'm a very grateful immigrant to Quebec, fleeing the chaos of my developing country (the United States). My wife, son, and I live in a central location in downtown Quebec, close to all the beautiful buildings and historic tourist stuff. I give short, lame "no" replies to lame, impersonal messages, so take a moment to care about my profile, and I'll probably host you.

We're always interested to host families with kids, since our home is safe and organized for small children.

PHILOSOPHY

Dadaism, hey.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We love to welcome people into our home and share the little joys of daily existence - meals, picnics, walks, adventures. Our home is pretty cozy and we have extra space for guests, so we like to put it to good use!

Before, I was hosting in Konstanz (Germany) and Beijing and Kunming (China).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Found the woman with the most beautiful smile in all of Québec, on a little whale-watching dinghy in the St. Lawrence. Our kid, who was born 11 months later, still believes he jumped out of the water into the boat that day, and that's how our family started.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can give a very patchy, inaccurate historical tour of Quebec City, as well as tips on how to half-maintain a 19-year old Subaru with 640,000km.

Countries I’ve Visited

Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Canada, China, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Italy, Liechtenstein, Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland

Countries I’ve Lived In

Canada, China, Germany, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, United States
