ABOUT ME

I love meeting people from all over the world. I am an educator, speaker, dancer. I meditate (almost everday) and do yoga. I read a lot. Bright, quick, sharp, even funny!
I am curious and very intuitive I have taught communications to adults from over 40 countries. I am knowledgeable on many topics (especially for an American!)
My friends would say I am very generous, fearless,honest, sincere, trustworthy, very CREATIVE and FULL of energy. I speak several languages and am very passionate about sustainability, alternative businesses, new paradigms, teaching, learning, performance art, multi-media, technology, writing, and people.

I create beauty wherever I go. I eat healthy, organic, vegetarian, and love creating yummy, nutritous dishes. I know Feng Shui, and have a natural talent for sustainable interior design (re-using, reinventing). I know astrology, numerology, massage, and other healing/energy work

I gave up my house (where I used to host CS'ers and many others and have been on quite a journey since, right here in California. Not able to host right now. Can definitely meet for chai : )

Hosting and hopefully visiting you!

Open to new experiences, people, fun, and adventure. Love sailing, kayaking, yoga, dancing, hiking, preparing and sharing great food, wine, conversation and eco-communities.

Would love to create or expand "retreat center" that offers: yoga, meditation, healing/energy/body work, organic food production, and other personal development workshops.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Well, I have traveled to about 30 countries sola (not bad for an American!) I lived and worked in Spain (Madrid) for several years and have traveled all over southern Europe, Mexico, Central & South America. I have also lived and worked in Prague. I have traveled extensively in Thailand & INdonesia . I am still in communication with other travelers that I met 20 years ago!.

In my many years of travel, I have stayed in friends homes, friends of friends homes, camped in many places, as well as the most luxurious of accommodations.

Eclectic tastes in music. . .we can talk movies when we meet.

Women's travel novels, non-fiction, inspirational works,I've been very immersed in reading works by Paul Hawken, Brian Swimme, and a lot about 2012 (the Mayan prophesies) these days. It's great to see science and spirituality finally coming in alignment. But, since I am a writer, I am a sponge for information, and read a lot: books, magazines, internet.

Traveled across the Amazon River (from Iquitos Peru to Belem Brazil)

Trekked Mt. Rinjani (Indonesia)

Camped on the beach for a week at Koufonesia (Greece-Cyclades) without a tent.

The journey to and exploration of Tikal (Guatemala)

Hitchhiked across the USA two times (when I was much younger)- this was the best way to get to know my 'culture" and I am glad I did it when I was so young.
