Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To be a good citizen of the Earth.
ABOUT ME
I'm friendly and approachable, genuinely interested in people, passionate about what I do and interested in leaning new things. I'm not afraid of much, but I do like to think things through rationally and thoroughly before trying them. I am definitely an "off the beaten track" sort of person.
I am currently a full-time grad student, so I might be very busy, but I would hope to be able to hang out and get to know you at least a little!
PHILOSOPHY
The best is yet to come.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
After many years of participating by surfing the world with wonderful people, I am finally in a home where I can host! I have had 100% positive experiences couchsurfing so far, and I am thrilled to be able to provide positive experiences for others now that I am too busy to travel much myself. I LOVE Boston. I decided to make this city my permanent home (at least for now...) and it is my absolute pleasure to help others enjoy it.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
The whole experience continues to renew my good faith in humanity and serendipity.
Interests
I am happiest outdoors, so gardening, hiking, biking, going to the beach, building things, climbing things, and going on adventures... I also love making and appreciating lots of different types of art. I love food, but not so much making it as eating it, so I've grown very good at doing dishes!

Music, Movies, and Books
The greatest movie of all time is The Princess Bride.
I like most genres of music. Including country. And pop.
Right now I'm reading The World According to Garp and enjoying it :-)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I hiked ~1,500 miles of the Appalachian Trail, from Georgia to Massachusetts, in 17 weeks. I've still got about 600 miles, from Massachusetts to Maine, to complete my through-hike, but that experience was still the most amazing thing I have ever done.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'll teach you about Permaculture and composting. I'm good at giving back massages and braiding hair. I like teaching people songs, especially harmonies and rounds.
