ABOUT ME

ME..well, let's see...
I am 23 and I work in Human Resources at the moment and before I left Adelaide was working towards my Masters in Journalism. So thats the hard facts but now for a bit more info that means something... I like to chat, talk, make jokes and generally have conversations about all sorts of things with all sorts of people. I like to drink, dance and generally be merry. I love to laugh and love a bit of banter... try ot beat me at the banter and you will fail miserably! Obviously I like to travel, see the sights and hopefully meet good people that turn into good friends along the way. I like genuinity - I think it is the best thing a person can own - other than a well worn passport. For the past year I have lived and worked in Edinburgh and have just embarked on a 3 month backpacking tour of Europe and will be settling in London from July onwards.... and back to work and reality for a little bit!

PHILOSOPHY

My Personal Mantra.... The only persons feelings you can control are your own...so try and not take life too seriously and for goodness sake don't care too much of what other people think of you, your life, your feelings... You are the controller of your own destiny...so get behind the steering wheel and drive!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I now belong to the Edinburgh group and when I am not working - meet up with CS travellers for a coffee or drink and when needed provide a couch...I will be moving to London soon so hope to meet a few CS people there and will hopefully be able to host depending on my living situation and flatmates etc!

I went to many events started and organised by CS people in Edinburgh, and have hosted and couchsurfed throughout Europe!

Interests

Well, they are wide and varied so may not fit them all into this box... I am interested in everything...especially stand up comedy, I love watching comics and Will Ferrel, Arj Barker and old Skool Eddie Murphy would be up there as my all time favourites...and this Dimitri Martinez? guy that my friend just downloaded onto my ipod...classic... I like going out, especially to a good pub with live music, rather than a full on club, but I like to dance to cheesy music too, I like walking around a city with my headphones in, I love all types of films, especially Anchorman, Zoolander, Man on Fire and anything else I can quote and use as my own material... I love banter and hopefully inspiring laughter! I like meeting new people and destroying stereotypes by getting to know people off all nationalities..... oh and I love sleeping in!

Music, Movies, and Books

Fight Club, The Shawshank Redemption, Zoolander, Anchorman, Reality Bites, Pretty Woman, Man on Fire, Training day, The Little Mermaid, Elizabeth... that is a small portion, but my favourite film at the moment is still gotta be Man On Fire... Books (does heat magazine count?), I like auto/biographies... Music- varied taste but like a bit of pop rock, so Ben lee, Bernard Fanning and Powderfinger are up there as well as Chilli Peppers, Coldplay, U2, and then love a bit of cheese too, JT, Beyonce etc

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I always wnated to travel to New York and looking at the city from the Empire State Builiding on one of the clearest days in March was pretty amazing...
