Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Stayed with Knut in Bergen, Norway. Very considerate and an excellent host. Stayed with Karen in Vancouver, B.C., then she, Ward and I spent a few days exploring in Canada together. CouchSurfer friends make good traveling companions! Karen was delightful.

Interests

bluegrass and also almost any other kind of music, art, reading, cooking (and eating!), tasting local wines when we travel, looking at interesting architecture, meeting "locals" instead of just other tourists at a hotel. Friends of the Library, local historical society.

Music, Movies, and Books

While in Norway we were fortunate to be shown a t.v. special with Joanna Lumley featuring the northern lights. We haven't seen them in real life (hope to someday), but seeing them in this film was spectacular.
