I want to travel the earth and beyond. I also want to make a difference to those less fortunate people in the the world especially the aids orphans

ABOUT ME

I am 54 years old but when people don't see my children they mistake me for being in my thirties which always makes my day! I am divorced and have two beautiful girls who are 30 and 26, two sons in law and three adorable grand daughters. I have my own house in a very nice area and I love travelling and meeting new people. Family is very important to me. My dad, mom and gran used to live with me but my gran and dad are late now. My gran passed away in September 2007 and my dad 5 years ago. My mom passed away in 2010. My sister and I live close to each other. She has one son. My one daughter, son in law and their baby and my 2 brothers live with me. Like all Indian families we are a very close knit family. I have been divorced 11 years now and it was a pretty trying time for me, but I got through it with the help and support of my family. I started studying (and now have my degree!) and bought my own house and have travelled a lot with my girls to occupy my mind. I do not drink or smoke but don't have a problem if some one else does. I have jet-setted to Mauritius, Bangkok and England and twice to India and couchsurfed in 2009 in India and 2010 in Europe. I have also cruised on a luxury liner to the Portuguese Islands. Like every other single person I am hoping to meet a superman to sweep me off my feet but I am in no rush for that just yet. Right now I am just enjoying my kids before they go out on their own. I have a great yearning to reach out and help aids orphans in a big way. Now I just help in little ways. Although I do enjoy camping and the beach and such - I'm not really that into it. I like the finer things in life call it luxury living if you might. Movies, malls, fine dining are more my thing. I like to camp and hike now and again just as long as the rest roooms are good. I am a travel junkie, if I cannot travel then I don't think life is worth living anymore!!! The plan is to have everything sorted out by the time I'm 45, leave work and a live a year in every different country - that's the plan!!! I am a very fussy eater - I have to say this as sometimes it becomes embarrassing when someone offers me something and I do not accept! I love chocolate though -chocolate ice cream, chocolate cake, chocolate with coconut, chocolate with nuts. I really eat far too much of chocolate and I can't imagine a world without chocolate!

PHILOSOPHY

Live and let live. Never pass judgement on anyone. You'll never know when you'll have to eat your words. People only do things because of circumstances and if someone is doing something that is not right in our eyes is only becaues of what life has done to them and because they cannot cope with something that is going on in their lives. Be warm and kind but also straightforward.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

If someone is surfing with me, I try and organise meetings for the rest of the couch surfers in my area. It does'nt work all the time though! Sadly in India our hosts tried to keep all couch surfers away from each other. I host a lot too.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had surfers from most parts of the world surf my couch and it has been really awesome. Now that I've been to India and couch surfed there, I want to do so much more for foreigners in my country cos it's awful being in a country where you know no one and everyone is trying to scam you! but couchsurfing in Europe was awesum and both my girls and I loved every minute of it!!

During the Soccer World Cup when our country came together as a nation to support our team - now that was ayoba!!
I was bowled over by Sreesanth the Indian cricket player. I met him at the 20/20 match played in Durban. Could'nt sleep for a whole week!
