ABOUT ME

I love to read, to dance, to sing and listen to music, love meeting people, photography and discovering new places and things. I enjoy jumping in and giving new things ago, I discovered Capoiera that way and now I´m hooked!... I have studied Classical Music for most of my life but now I'm studying to become a nurse. I grew up riding horses in the country, loving animals and the bush and fresh air.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Slowly but surely. it's a great way to travel, make friends and experiencing how others live. I want to offer my couch when I have the chance back home in Melbourne to friends and travellers I have met along the way.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have met a wonderful bunch of people travelling through America and Europe, staying with wonderful people in New York and France and Berlin. While offering my floor when friends come to visit. I have stayed on the couches of many friends back home in Australia, even living on my parents couch for a while after they gave my room to an exchange student! I even met my boyfriend on a couch! I am fairly new to the organised couch surfing project but find that it is an extremely positive way to travel and meet people.

Interests

International affairs, Amnesty International, MSF, Health, History, Music, Art, Photography, dancing, reading, horseriding, bmx racing, street bmx, my friends and my family, history, places new and old, people in general I guess, movies, Good food, love good food! politics, the state of the world and what can be done about it. Volunteering, Nature, animals, hiking, swimming, beaches, languages, riding my bike, snowboarding....Capoiera!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Volunteering, working and travelling. I remember so many snippets of things every day from such diverse places. Someone's face, a word in a foreign language, a moment of trying to communicate. Working in a multicultural environment and travelling in general is such a learning experience, living in Barcelona, Berlin and travelling Europe, the world is an incredible place and i want to experience more of it.

It´s the small things that brighten up someone's day... pass on a smile, a flower, or leave a note saying good morning, with a piece of chocolate attached. someone did that for me once and it does make a difference!
