ABOUT ME

After living in Brazil I got curious to learn more about languages, people, the world. I volunteered in youth exchange programmes, spent 5 months working in Turkey at Istanbul University and have a degree in sociology and transatlantic studies.
I later became a kindergarten teacher and have workedwith kids from very diverse backgrounds.
I now have two sons and have learnt more about baby development and esrly communication, and am a freelancer in babywearing consulting.

I want to explore more of the world when the kids are a bit older, for now I would be happy to meet people i town and exchange stories.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like meeting the people who live in the city or village I travel to, get to know their way of life and get a deeper insight in how things work there. It is a great place to meet likeminded travellers.

Interests

Lots! I like visually beautiful things like nature, photos, dance.
Adventures are great, also sports like swimming, horse riding, hiking. As an adult I started Irish dance and got into competitions and teaching.
I love music, mostly singing and playing Irish trad music, when I have time I do some arts and handcraft like macramé and sewing.
I relax when reading or cooking and I am always curious about languages.

Music, Movies, and Books

'Without music, life would be a mistake.' I enjoy nearly all kind of music, most of all Rock, Folk and Brazilian Music.

I really liked the books by Khaled Hosseini (Kiterunner and A thousand splendid suns) and I love fantasy, science fiction and adventure books.

I'm really interested in learning and teaching languages. I can tell you about German and Brazilian culture and show you some nice recipes. I can also show you some Irish Dance and music. I love to share about preschool education, early communication and baby wearing.
