Berlin to St. Petersburg on our tandem bike - honeymoon bike trip in Summer 2011

ABOUT ME

We are both currently in the transition from student life to "real" life. Both of us finished our studies (Theresa is a teacher for maths/physical education/religious education and Christian is a doctor) and in summer 2011 we got married. During the last years our Couchsurfing mission was "cycling to St. Petersburg on our tandem bike" and this summer this actually comes true - from the end of July till September we will be pedalling from Berlin to St. Petersburg as our honeymoon bike trip.
We both enjoy travelling and being outdoors whenever it's possible, that's why we are on Couchsurfing. We are curious and outgoing, but also considerate and respectful and quite flexible. We both have a lot of energy when it comes to things that we like.
Hmmm -we're not really good in describing ourselves - maybe our references do a better job!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

We decided to bike trough Germany connecting our university town Muenster with Freiburg, Christian's hometown. Since we didn't have appropriate bikes, we spontaneously surfed Ebay.com and bought a tandem bike rightaway. On this vehicle we made over 800 kilometers in 6 days. Ever since our tandem has been not only a good means of transportation in our town, but went on vacation several times together.
