About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To travel and meet new people, with the goal of learning as much about as many cultures as I can. I want to become fluent in at least 3 or 4 languages, and have fun along the way!
ABOUT ME
I'm 22 years old, from upstate NY, and just graduated from the University of Wisconsin as a Sociology major. Now I'm trying to figure out what to do with the rest of my life, and seeing the world through different perspectives will allow me to create my own path. I have a girlfriend in Minnesota, and being far away from her is tough, but I'm getting by. I love to travel and learn about new cultures, and luckily, I will have the chance to head to Europe for the first time in about a month. My personality enables me to get along well with anyone, and my close friends run the gamut from tree-loving farmers to devout jesus-loving Argentines.
PHILOSOPHY
I live to learn. I know it's corny but I just want to experience lots of different things by traveling around the world and meeting new people. I love going out and sharing a pint or a cup of coffee and sharing great conversation.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I will gladly offer up a couch to people visiting me wherever I end up in the future.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I just joined the community and thus have no experience with couchsurfing as so named. However, I have spent many memory-packed nights across the U.S and South America crashing in the homes of many wonderful people.
Interests
My main interests lie in being enlightened by as much new music as possible. I'll listen to anything, and have a very diverse ipod. I love talking about sports, religion, and food and have strong opinions on each, although I am open-minded. I love trying new things and having amazing well-meaning arguments with close friends.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love to read. Kurt Vonnegut is probably my favorite author, although I'm a big Hemingway fan as well. Currently, I've been on a memoir kick, and just finished Shalom Auslander's "Foreskin's Lament". My idea of a great Sunday at home in New York is listening to some relaxing music and reading the Times, finishing the day with the Crossword.
My musical tastes are really varied. I love Ween, Miles Davis, Coltrane, Chopin, Charly Garcia, Keith Jarrett, The Beatles, Astor Piazzolla, Biggie Smalls and Alison Krauss.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I once got chased by a wild boar in my backyard when I was a kid, I remember it was pretty insane at the time. Also, running onto the field at Wisconsin after the winning touchdown against Ohio State in 2003 in a rain-soaked, drunken stupor is one of the highlights of my college career.
