About Me

CURRENT MISSION

日本人ようこそ!

ABOUT ME

We're a young couple, now parents to three beautiful children : Adrien (age 6), Camille (age 4) and Robin (age 2).

I was born and raised here in Nice.
I'm an open-minded person, curious and easy-going, always ready to learn new things and share new experiences.

Alex is originally from Avignon.

We met in Japan and both of us are in love with that country. One of my dreams would be to be able to live there someday....

At the moment I'm on parental leave to take care of my children. Alex is an engineer and works in university as a researcher.

PHILOSOPHY

On devrait avoir deux vies... l'une pour apprendre, et l'autre pour vivre.

Interests

My babies and my companion, and the lovely family we're building, above anything else.

Everything about Japan and Japanese culture (language, traditions, food of course, ...)

Eating !! ^^ I'm particularly curious about how people in other parts of the world eat, and I love tasting new foods. Also, traveling, making new friends, parenting, karaoke, nature, animals, languages, cinema, video games, cooking, reading a good book, hiking, meeting new people, learning, loving, life.

And.... Eating (whoopsie, said that already), sleeping, listening to my Ipod, photography, chatting online with my friends, going to concerts, seeking treasures...

Alex is fond of cats, video games, japanese animation, sci-fi books, guitar, good music. Basically he's fond of anything that can be played (cards, rpgs, board games, party games, video games...)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Giving birth to the most wonderful babies ever.

And I had the most extraordinary time of my life visiting Japan for a month in 2007. <3

Teach, Learn, Share

So let's see... I can teach French language, and basic french/provençal cooking tips.

I've learned to make my own yogurts, ice-cream, bread and pasta.

I have tried to learn knitting a dozen times, and always failed. So if you know how to knit and would like to teach me, that would be sweet !

Photography I would really like to improve my skills in.

I want to learn as much as I can. Feel free to teach me anything you want !! Oh and, needless to say, Japanese couchsurfers are more than welcome at my place, I'll be more than happy to learn everything they will teach me.

For the rest I know an awful lot about infants, babies and toddlers and especially breastfeeding and natural/proximal parenting (babywearing, cloth diapers, home-made natural care products, baby massage, co-sleeping, organic meals, non-violent education, etc).

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Democratic Republic of Congo, French Polynesia, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Tunisia, United Kingdom, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

France
